Uche Secondus, national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) “are dangerous to Nigeria and its democracy”.
Secondus made the comment during a PDP rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, on Monday, January 28, Punch reports.
We gathered that he said: “I want to warn our friends who are from this state, who believe that Akwa Ibom state’s election can be rigged, if you rig the election in Akwa Ibom, you rig your head. Our dear country is in distress and the whole world is aware.
“The economy of the country is down. People are being killed every day. There is hunger in the land caused by the APC government.
“Buhari’s action is a threat to democracy and the existence of our country. Therefore, Buhari and the APC are dangerous.
“This country must be liberated, this country must regain freedom where people will work freely and do their businesses freely in a free atmosphere, free enterprise and a free Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, we previously reported that Uche Secondus said President Muhammadu Buhari is too weak to lead the country.
The PDP national chairman said Buhari had tried his best and should go home and rest.
He said in part: “Now is the time for you to take a stand and firmly too, to know that it is time for us to ask President Buhari to go home. Let him go home. Baba has tried. Let him go home.
“The energy is no longer there. And we know that by the grace of God, we need somebody with a lot of energy. We need somebody who will work for 24 hours.”
